International Conference, Trondheim, Norway, 23-25 April 2009
Programme
Public and professional criticism is vital to develop and improve the quality of architecture and our surroundings. But how do we express critique in the architectural language? And how can architectural critique be taken into use as a pedagogical tool in order to influence the education of architects?
Does research undermine criticism - and is criticism critical at all?
These are some of the questions posed by the researchers and architects that we are very grateful and happy to host here in Trondheim. Through lectures, paper sessions and plenum discussions, we hope that deeper insight, fruitful new perspectives and a boost for architectural criticism and research will be the outcome of this gathering. Welcome!
